DOGS FOR LIFE

LEARNING, TRAINING AND UNDERSTANDING, FOR ALL DOGS AND THEIR OWNERS

Dogs for Life have never stood still & it’s just as well in these current times as people need support with their management, understanding & teaching of their four legged family member, be it a cross breed or pure bred. Different breeds have different needs so what might work for let’s say a Dalmatian probably won’t work for a Lhasa Apso.

So knowing what your dog was bred for is something we discuss & in the case of a cross breed it can be a bit confusing for the Puppy/Dog depending on what the mix is.

A great many of you have got a puppy for so many different reasons & would like help, support & guidance as to how to communicate & in turn teach it to be a well behaved pet/companion.

There is nothing better than being able to go out for a walk without having your dog pull you to the park or the field. Knowing that when you call it that it is happy to come back to you. There is nothing nicer than someone commenting on how well behaved your Puppy/Dog is. They may say how lucky you are to have such an obedient Puppy/Dog but what they don’t realise is the more you train the luckier you become. You don’t want to be known as one of those owners who say “it only wants to play” which usually means it is totally out of control & it might not be appropriate for it to be trying to play with your Puppy/Dog.

When we are allowed, we run weekly lesson from Puppies right though to Advanced training. But at the moment that is not realistic so we offer video mentoring sessions which have proved popular & very affective. Our first session we can discuss how to make yourself understood as dogs don’t learn the way we think they do & what your lifestyle is like & how you want your dog to fit in. All of this can be done in the comforts of your own home through a video call.

There is a whole spectrum of things you might want to have your Puppy/Dog do so I teach you how to teach & tailor make the rest to suit you. Things like:-
*Preparing your Puppy/Dog for when you may be going back out to work as opposed to working from home.
*Not going nuts when someone comes to the door.
*Manners around the house such as settling down in its bed whilst you're eating.
*Instant recall from the garden.
*Loose lead walking.
*Being calm around others both adults & children.

And so much more & all of which we can address during a video mentoring call. So no travel involved no getting cold & wet & no tears. On the contrary my clients & I have a great & fun time.
